NCFE level 2 Certificate in Creative Crafts (Carnival) 60 hrs of guided study.

Practical course covering design for mas bands, introduction to materials and safe working practices, basic skills and techniques for body costumes, headpieces, flags and staffs, simple backpacks.

NCFE level 3 Certificate in Creative Crafts (carnival) 120 hours of guided study.

Academic study: history and origins of carnival, carnivals around the world, great designers and their work.

Practical Modules include: sewing and pattern cutting, drawing skills, frame building and structural work, creating 3D form, batik, silk painting and textile enhancement, make up and body painting, choreography and presentation skills.
